I don't think many people understand why "bronies" love "My Little Pony" so much.

Whether it was intentional or not, it really does have appeal.
1. The eyes. Big eyes are a sign of estrogen. Enough said.
2. The hair. Glorious, flowing, big hair that doesn't necessarily follow the laws and physics and become drab and boring as humans' hair.
3. The neoteny.

Pathetic reasons..never thought of them before though.
My biggest reason is with them using pastel colors, classic voice actors, and creators like Lauren Faust (whom personally went out of her way to make the show's target audience the "bronies"), it gives the show a nostalgic feel, bringing me back to my era of cartoons back before Cartoon Network and Nick went to dogshit.
That is why I watch.

I neither like, nor dislike "bronies", but extremists are unpleasant no matter what they like. Sadly, it's extremists who's voices are louder, so people tend to take them as the ones who represent the group rather than each as an individual

Exactly.

Which is why there are people who insist with pessimism, even though everything craves optimism in itself.. How well we are right now, in comparison to whenever else in history. How powerful each and every one of us really are as individuals.. Mind boggling, once you get a hold of it.
