I've never thought about listening to his music. I dont even know what style it is. I think it's more of a 'okay, i think you're kind of awesome, i shall try out your music, because you're a musician, and it'd be neat if i ended up liking both you and your music'. Or maybe that's a bit of a stretch

Well not really, if an artist has the same taste as you, it would be a good guess that you might like their work. I agree that this time the they don't seem to correlate since Tara Strong has nothing to do with music. But if he says he hates Bieber, that probably means he doesn't make the same music as him, and as such you might like him.

I would like some more information before making such a decision, but choosing an artist based on those merits is not dumb. If nothing else you might promote this sort of behavior by giving positive feedback to it.

What I think he means, is that you should probably grow up a bit if you base your choices on the aforementioned things. Hating Beiber, and loving ponies shouldn't be all-encompassing in your life.

I wouldn't listen to any artist who even cared enough to have an opinion on these things.

I can agree that the fanbase on Funnyjunk has gotten a little shitty. With the shipping and the reposts and what-not. But as an overall fandom, bronies are incredibly creative with the brony art, music, let alone the simple devotion to the show! As you said, I'd never hate on someone for watching/not watching a show or movie, nor would I force someone to, but just take note that we have an ever growing fandom that, at this rate, isn't going to die down anytime soon. I promise you, if you actually searched around, you'd find some really interesting stuff!

TL;DR - You don't need to watch the show, but get used to the fanbase, cause it's a big one!

I always thought it had something to do with people and their inability to respect the beliefs of others if those beliefs compromise their own beliefs. I.e. how a man should/should not act and what he should/should not watch.

And to think, all this time it was this guy... because he found a singer whose actions outside of his music please him enough to want to enjoy his success.
