Shipping is a very broad and general term. In terms of ponies, shipping ponies is also very broad in that it's two characters from the show dating because they love each other. So clopping could be a branch of clop, but we generally try to keep shipping and clop under different categories. Because what I think you're implying by this, is that your friend was thinking clop or something. I don't think I'm the only one though.
