Are we not entitled to get angry at something we love in the show changing, then turn around and be sad because a person is dead? You know, like human beings? Its always sad when someone dies. Joking helps ease the sadness and sometimes we do take it a little far, but its all in good spirits.

When this whole "derpy" thing was going on the comments were full of death threats towards the soccer moms children and you guys were saying that you wished they got hit by a bus. That doesn't sound like joking to me. Besides that you guys don't give a damn about this persons death, you only care because it has something to do with MLP. If it wasn't about that, you wouldn't even care.

I never saw any death threats man. Maybe because I skipped all the "Save Derpy" stuff. If there were comments like that I assure you, those people don't represent the community.

I know they don't represent the whole community. But i recognized some of the names in this thread from when i was in those "save derpy" content and i'm just pissed at how they're acting after what they had said before.

Yeah I don't blame ya. I don't like people who can be the worst of humanity at one moment and pretend to be the best of it the next.

I'm glad we can come to an understanding and not have to start an all out shit war.

True, but making a big deal about her over the internet is stupid what happened happened its unfortunate but we can't change it no matter what we do so why bring it to a site that's made for funny?

I'm personally distressed by this, it's a simple interest and people felt the need to bully this person into suicide because of it. and even after her suicide, people from 4chan and 9gag spammed her page with hate, to the point where facebook just deleted the account because it got so bad.

we bronies are a tight community, we care for each other, and when something like THIS happens to one of our number, especially over something so senseless, it's just incredibly unnerving.

That simple interest pisses millions of people off, one little spark can ignite a shit storm and if she couldn't take the hate she should have deleted her page or set it to private.
Which is why i don't feel that bad for her when she could have stopped this whole thing from happening.

that's where something is wrong, where liking a simple TV show pisses people off to the point of wanting to attack others maliciously. that's just fucked up.

I just feel bad that a human life was lost to something so senseless, over something as simple as liking a TV show. she could have been mentally disabled, under a ton of stress, or had so much reliance on facebook that she never considered other options. whatever the cause, it was something intense enough that she resorted to defying every survival instinct that is ingrained in our DNA, and ended her life. suicide isn't as simple as "I think I'll kill myself today," there is something psychologically WRONG with someone to want to consider it. and, again, because she was a brony, someone who shared in our community, it feels even worse, because that's something that could happen to us, not only being harassed for liking a fucking cartoon, but that people feel like being malicious enough to insult someone's death in such a way.

when they were raiding her account, they would post links to 9gag and say "from 9gag" or whatever the hell else, they could have been lying, I don't know. the account is deleted now, so there's no more link to anything.

well, she was bullied for liking ponies... the pony community wants to reach out... seeing as there is a pony channel here, we figured at least one or two posts would be appropriate.

Thank you for posting a logical explanation. It is not normal for someone to take their own life because of abuse they receive over something like MLP.

Not as many people are strong like you or me, they seek comfort for the first thing that is there for them, until they find something else that is more comforting. She was suffering, not physically, but emotionally. People have to remember that emotional stress can have a great impact on yourself, depending on you personality, I so think suicide is stupid and no one should kill themselves just because some one called them a "bitch". The only way to solve this is to just show some sorrow for a person that would have had a better life after school.

that's what's bothering me about this whole thing, the fact that people would act so malicious over a simple TV show...

There are people out there just like you, people that can stand up for themselves because they have the same mindset that you do. but there are also people out there that never learned how to think like that, so please if you know some kind of a magic phrase that can help people ignore the physical, mental, or sexual abuse they have been through then please let me know.

I have no idea. I just don't get it sometimes. I've been picked on and abused since the first grade, yet I'm perfectly fine. Some people get trolled on the internet and kill themselves. Hasn't anyone ever heard of "hide all"?

Trust me, I have asked myself the same kind of questions.

maybe she killed herself because she was getting bullied because she watched MLP. If not then ya you are probably right.
