I've had multiple accounts on Fj for years now. It'd be like me saying.. Go to a different website, I was here first before the fucking show was ever thought of. So yeah, thanks for outcasting me from my favorite website, which used to have no bronies.

I'm not sure about disfiguredhamster, but I for one, dislike bronies because everytime I just want to start a normal thread without ponies (a spiderman thread, etc.) they come and call us "butthurt trolls" and then they share their hypocritical "love and tolerance" and PLUS I have seen the show and just honestly don't care about it. ALSO when I come to this website, I just want some laughs, not ponies (unless its funny).

and that just proves my point. it doesnt matter if a show is aimed at kids; if it has good content adults can enjoy it aswell. the reason pokemon and MLP is loved by so many people is because its got a good story with great characters aswell as smething people can relate to. If MLp and pokemon was as childish as teletubbies, people wouldnt like it.
TL;DR - people enjoy shows depending on the content, not the age its aimed at.

i think the reason why people like pokemon so much is because of the games, not the story. Anyways, i disagree with that because the story for pokemon, and other kids shows like dbz are pretty bad..... but when i was a kid i wasn't very smart. i didn't care what the story was about i just liked the action

Fanbase for pokemon doesn't have any specified gender.
Though, it's predominantly preferred by males because of the protagonist and the general theme of adventure which is generally preferred by males.
The fanbase for mylittlepony, is and has been, for younger females. The reason that this particular version of MLP is so popular is most likely because the producer is the same one who produced Foster's Home for Imaginary friends. Not to mention that the characters are associated with specific personas there are relatable to other characters in lots of different shows or series'. Generally Japanese animation.
Just spreading the facts, personally not a fan of MLP but I'm just stating the facts up n' here.

actually, Lauren Faust, wanted to make a show that both kids, and adults could like together, also, as compared to older generations what had shallow character development, and was only used to sell the toys, she designed a show with deep character development and a plot that allows the characters to change, much as she did with the Powerpuff Girls, and Fosters
Let's be honest, she wasn't expecting this level of fandom. She was pleasantly surprised, but she was originally just striving for excellence in what she did. It's a noble goal, such that if you don't half ass something just cause you don't think it'll be popular, I will respect you.
does it look like I care?? I see with my own god damn eyes, little girls watching My Little Pony, going to McDonald's and getting their happy meals with My Little Pony toys, and sadly next to that, zit faced teenager boys with patchy beards. You cannot tell me that isn't wrong.

Hey man, everyone has their own opinion, I was simply asking why you dislike us, and pointing out that it was created with the purpose of not being a show just for girls. Granted they are the target audience, but the show is similar to those we grew up with, and that's why thing are the way they are, that's all, and whether or not you like the show or the community, Bronies are here to stay, and that's all i have to say about that.

understandable, I respect your slight kindness in your comment, but I stand by what I said. No matter where bronies are, there will always be someone who hates them. That goes for almost everything else in life. So brony haters are here to stay, also.
