If anybody should be offended by Derpy, it should be me. When I was little I had a lazy right eye, so my eyes would frequently cross without me even knowing it. (I don't have it any more thanks to glasses and occasional use of an eye patch--neither of which I need anymore either.) This character makes light of that condition by popularizing it and making it look silly.

But I'm not offended. So fuck all the haters.

Tbh neither had anything wrong with them, it was just those people that react to everything with "i am morally outraged, pay attention to me as this offeds me" aka attention horses. They just wanted a shitstorm and hell they got one, but it all seems to be level now so awesome :)

Hasbro was on the receiving end of all the spam which arose from Derpy. It wasn't their fault, they just repsonded in a fashion that would try to minimise legal problems.
