12 hour shifts are a huge pain. The first couple days you will be tired as all hell but after a week you start to get accustomed to it. Normally I tend to get about 6 hours of sleep a day that way it doesn't feel like i get home, go to bed, wake up only to get ready and go back to work. If you do it like that after some time you will begin to hate your job fast.
