I was told to get a medium-small one. I hope to wait until closer to the holidays so I can see what sorts of sales they have.

then I recommend an intuos 4 or 5. or whatever the newest one is. its medium sized, and Ive had mine for about 3 years, and it works great, complete with several extra tablet pen pins and a holder. customizable buttons and sliders.

I got mine for $200, but since its outdated, it can be bought for about $30-#60 now. intuos 5 is a bit more expensive, and theres really not much difference, just more sensetivity. so 4 is the best option.
