I don't hide it, but I don't go out and show it to everyone.
If I were more open about it (Wearing shirts and having pony stuff on my car, etc.) I'm fairly certain I would get shit kicked by people where I live.
I just want to be treated like a normal person.

"Yeah, I watch MLP"
"So you're gay?"
"No, I just like the story and the animation style"
"Whatever agrajag, it's ok to be gay, I won't judge you"
"But seriously, I'm straight. I just like the show"
"It's OK to explore your sexuality. Is that why you don't have a girlfriend?"
And that's why I don't tell people.

I don't tell people that i watch it because i don't need to.
People don't care if you watch a show.

Bronies hide the fact that they watch mlp because of the immediate stereotypization that comes along with the show , like a questioned sexuality or other certaint attributes.That is why most bronies defend the show so much , because they want to be able to watch their cartoon in peace , withouth being considered weird just because of the cartoons reputation

its not more of hiding it, its just more of how stupid it would feel to confess you watch a tv show, the idea of needing to confess that you watch my little pony is stupid so we dont, but it would be a bit weird (or i just overthink it like a lot of us do) for your parents or siblings to ask you if you were the one watching mlp and saying yes
