It's perfect. Some crazy experiment happens and people start to mutant. It's small at first, with people turning into furries and gumball machines (regular show), but eventually the condition worsens causing reality itself to become scewed as more mutations occur, making the world look like an insane conglomeration of CGI, 2D, and natural backdrop (Amazing World of Gumball). World governments, realizing their control is slipping, attempt to coral humans to preserve to original genome. This sparks a global war in which the mutations are weaponized, intensified and used with utter abandon. Centuries later, two descendants of one of the few successful human communes venture out into what they have been told is a barren wasteland to find that the mutants have rebuilt and adapted civilization to themselves. Sadly, the couple cannot survive in this new environment, but their newborn son, the first human born in Ooh, can, so when they die, he is left with their new friend Jake, hopefully to have a successful life (Adventure Time). When he grows up, Jake eventually finds other humans and they begin to coexist in a new world that isn't theirs. As time goes on, this mixture causes the myriad different types of lifeforms to settle down/die off/ or crossbreed into a single, stable, dominant species with a few other sentient varieties of life, with the rest of the ecosystem going back to a less developed and wild lifestyle. Fast-forward a few millenia, past the birth of the paragons of this new dominant species, past the defeat of the last truly chaotic remnant of the insanity of Ooh, past the battle between the ruling paragons, and Twilight Sparkle arrives in Ponyville for the first time.
