honestly, I think the reason is that most people can see themselves in the other ponies, while TS is this smart organized person, which is kind of rare.

Well, then you have the shipper fans. They're people, not just for Ponies, but from just about EVERY work of fiction made for people over the age of 5. They put the characters together in romantic relationships, even though that might not make sense. There are about as much homosexual relationships as there are heterosexual ones, depending on the male:female ratio. In this case, because there are literally only around 6 or 7 named male characters (Big Mac, Spike, Braeburn, Discord, Soarin') the homosexual relations WAY outweighs heterosexual.
