My $700 computer that I bought for schoolwork a year ago can't keep up with PC games. Not only is that my budget ($700), and that I can't shop for gaming PCs for **** , but also I just bought a new PC, so guess who's going to stick with Xbox 360 for now?

Well, it is a very popular mod and would seem to fit the nonsensical nature of the image as a whole, so yes, it does, dood.

Give me a pc equivalent to a ps4 (ps3 in this case) for a comparable price and Ill go that route, until them, consoles still win for us college students at least.

As a college student you'd want a better computer anyways, so the cost of a gaming computer is greatly reduced just from the fact that you need a lot of that power anyways.

In fact, my gaming pc actually isn't good enough for my college work. Not even kidding.

Also, PC games are cheap as **** thanks to steam. In the end you'll pay way less.

ALSO also, most colleges have bitchin wifi that's just goin to waste otherwise. I get ****** 90 Mbs down and 60 up even on a bad day here.

To put it simply, consoles are for casual gamers. I like to lay back every now and then, and spend hours on end slaying dragons or protecting Haven city or beating the **** out of the joker. I don't need some expensive as **** PC to enjoy that.

I've very recently got a semi-decent laptop and entered the wonderful world of L4D2 mods, im currently playing as Master chief with the correct Halo hud along with an array of halo weaponry as i take down hordes of warrior bugs from Starship troopers along with my team mates Garrus, Tali, and Wrex. And when its all over and we've completed the daft punk concert we can sit back as Sweet Sweet Victory plays over the credits. To finally end up in the lobby with the replacement Last of Us soundtrack.

PC Master race, where if you want top of the line graphics, you must invest 700+ dollars, and 50+ hours, into building a gaming rig, that will have parts swapped out for, to maintain that top of the line performance, with no guarantee that it will perform better, along with hundreds of dollars spent on the other aspects of owning a computer, like buying a separate OS, if you don't own a 64x version of windows, all the accessory programs you would need to use to keep it running, PC gaming hardware, like halfway decent keyboards and mouses, or controllers if, you know, you don't want to develop carpel tunnel, not to mention games, which, unless they're endorsed by valve, will cost you the price of the game, if it was brand new, oh, and by the way, you can't get used games at all.

PC gaming, because we're not the best, just the most pretentious.

50+ Hours. What? I built mine in about an hour and a half including having to take everything out to get a big mechanical fan out from the case because my heatsink wouldn't fit otherwise.

You don't need to swap parts out that often or sometimes even at all depending on how much you spend. My machine will easily last me 10 years or so until there is a significant breakthrough in computing and any half decent GPU will last ages because most games aren't developed to push the limits of graphics. OS can be acquired through friends or pirated absolutely no problem, or if you're a university student you get OS for free (in my case at least) as well as tons of other software for free or at a discounted price. My Keyboard was £20 because I favor the white panel-mac style ones and my mouse granted cost £35 but it has about 7 buttons to keybind and is quite good. I can still use my Xbox or PS3 controller that I already own.

Furthermore games are generally very cheap on PC with the Steam sales(I know you said by valve but not many games aren't on steam. There's always GOG and other websites that have regular deals. Humble bundle right now has a great Civ bundle going. And earlier in the year there was even an Origin bundle which had (Dead Space 1&3, Battlefield 3, Medal of Honor, Burnout Paradise, The Sims 3 and Crysis 2 all in one bundle for £10 you even got steam AND origin keys for half of them.)

I also don't understand why you'd want used games when you can just download the same game for the same price, if no cheaper.

Also also most preorders on steam are offered at a discounted price. As opposed to the pre-order fee that high street and places that ship the game to you have.

The next time you try and make a point. Try and understand what you're actually talking about other than spreading lies.

Mods can make old games new, and turn Skyrim into garrys mod. But so many games are made for consoles and have ***** ports that even mods can't help.
Lets face it, Each has their strengths and weaknesses, X1 was rushed and graphics are sub par but it has so many games that will only release on it that it stole its place into people's living rooms. The PS4 has a few less but it was well developed and has many big name independent titles.

Don't hate me for being ignorant but are mods only available on pc?
User avatar #122 to #116 - Zeigh (02/07/2014) [-]
Yep.
It's easier to manipulate the source code for PC games.
