The Pokemon fans you see on FJ are, for the most part, old Pokemon fans who don't,
for one reason or another, keep up with the evolution of the franchise. If you've seen
any fair amount of discussion on Pokemon on this site, you'll find that the most recent
Pokemon game the lot of them own is from the second generation of games. All but one of those
Pokemon toys are based on characters from the most recent games that those who call
themselves "Hardcore" or "Classic" Pokemon fans would pay no mind to.

Meh, Black & White had it's share of good and bad ideas.

May I say that I find the latest generation of Pokemon extremely disgusting and low-creative?

why the hell does every post that involves pokemon turn into a shit storm of "HURR 5TH GEN IS SO UNORIGINAL, 1ST GEN WAS TEH BAIST"?

Oh but let me guess, every early gen was filled with amazing originality? No, they weren't...

Gen 1
Voltorb -> Electrode = bigger and upside down
Grimer -> Muk = just a bigger grimer
Ditto = a purple glob
Pidgey -> Pidgeotto -> Pidgeott = bird that gets bigger twice
Geodude -> Graveler -> Golem = a rock with arms, what's so good about it?

Gen 2
Sentret -> Furret = just a bigger squirrel
Togepi = egg (how amazing right?)
Hitmontop = rehash of Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan (which both are not so creative)

Gen 3
Shroomish -> Whatever the fuck that mushroom kangaroo was = It's a mushroom, not creative okay?
Peliper = it's a fucking seagul

I could go on to the rest of the generations but I really don't feel like it

I got a Servine toy with a Dewott card.

i react the same way to both (i like mlp and pokemon deal with it)
