I honestly don't care if someone wants to dress up as a cosplay pony, or if someone wants to masturbate to pony pictures. Honestly it's the same thing as letting someone believe in whatever religion they want. As long as they don't bother me then we're good.

I'm a brony and I agree: that guy was a faggot.
We like the show for the same reason people like Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents, and other cartoons like them. While they are for children, the jokes are good for all ages, and there are even some under the radar jokes that fly over children's heads but can be laughed at by adults.
Some of the creating staff even admitted that the show was supposed to be able to be enjoyed by the parents that would inevitably be watching it with their children.
