My friend, you have upset quite alot of people. It is my hope that this message will help clear the water. Long ago, we decided that these kinds of posts do not help out our cause, as it seems that we are using this to try and force the show on others. We are bronies, and we stand for the equal treatment of all, and we do not force out beliefs on others. We do not need to spread our influence, the show speaks for itself.

Very well, I shall explain my course of action
First and foremost, we decided long ago that asking people to watch ponies is considered a bit of a breech of conduct. Its fine if one person asks you to watch the show, but when everybody has the same idea you can understand how people could get bombarded with requests to watch the show. This is where the feeling of getting ponies crammed down your throat comes from. No one is really all that violent about getting people to watch the show, its the volume of people asking. If he can ask people to watch the show, why can't others? If we allow one person, why not the next? Very soon, we go back to the way we were before, and all our work is for naught.
Understand that this is a professional response, and does not reflect my feelings for the poster.

In defence for the OP, I must say that it is NOT his/her fault that one may be bombarded with pony recommendations. If there are only a few posts like this on the internet, then obviously there will be a very small number of people who got the message. It is only normal that the message is passed around........

True, but everyone deserves a warning before hand. Perhaps I had phrased my paragraph a little harshly, but my points still stand strong. I understand your side of the argument, and I sympathize with your logic. I'm not worried about any of the older or more mature bronies doing this. Its the younger additions to our herd that worry me.

Im not sure how long you have been a user of Funnyjunk, I know I haven't been here for longer than a few years. What I can say with utmost certainty is that good intentions mean nothing here beyond their sentiment if they are not followed up with good action.
I wish that we could recommend the show to others, but as it currently stands, it won't stay at just recommending. Once people start an action, they tend to see it through. Thus is human nature. It doesn't stop at just recommending. Lets make a scenario.
A newfoal sees this post, and then goes on to "recommend" the show to someone else. The person resists and gets upset with the user. This creates drama and sparks flame wars. The newfoal then tries to convince the user that the show isn't as bad as he/she thinks it is, but the user refuses to listen. In the end, both parties end up angry and upset. Nobody wins, everybody loses.
Im not here to start an argument my friend. It is obvious that we disagree on this point. Therefor, let us allow bygones to be bygones, say our farewells, and move on with our lives.

Hehehehe, stubborn Darbius, you wont get anywhere with that type of depressing thinking. You remind me of my mother when she told me, "Dont EVER steal candy again, or you will end up as a world class theif murderer racist evil hobo.........". Everything in this world happens for a reason, and there is a reason behind everything. Assuming things is not like you Darbius, I would think its obvious that one needs FACTS to get anywhere. The OP in this case still stands innocent of all accusations against him.........
