Actually, I'd recommend Dragonshy if he likes cute things at all (the dragon is epic)...or the one where Twilight goes crazy because her paper to Celestia is going to be late - a lot of people can identify with that.

I wouldn't recomend May the Best Pet Win because the ending is kindof obvious from the start...Sonic Rainboom is a lot of background story, which may not make sense or entertain a new initiate.

These are just my opinions, based on the reactions of my Fiance who has seen some of the episodes.
