well rights that have not yet been set are up for voting to decide whether or not they should be ratified into being, once something is legally a right then later generations voting against it are pretty much accusing their forebears of being wrong

the amount of time, planning and effort taken to measure the pros and cons of each proposed right before deciding to finalize a right into being, says that enough has been done to judge it worthy of being a right....

in the case of firearms...yes, some have abused that right to collect guns like kids collect baseball cards, but then that comes down to a separate issue of not enough control over how many guns a person is allowed

How many guns a person is allowed? Who decides what people are allowed to own? Who are you to decide what I can and can not own? Why is it that the left kicks and screams about civil rights (as they should be) but then decides that only people they like should have rights?

Any you are straight up wrong about "only nut jobs and militia" First off, legally, you and I assuming you are 17+ and live in the U.S are in a militia as defined by the Militia Act of 1903 to consist of every able-bodied man of at least 17 and under 45 years of age who is not a member of the National Guard or Naval Militia.(That is, anyone who would be eligible for a draft.) Former members of the armed forces up to age 65 are also considered part of the "unorganized militia" per Sec 313 Title 32 of the US Code. Furthermore the "gun nuts" are hobbyists, just like your precious 40k. They take care of their guns, learn how they work, shoot as a form of recreation, competitively and commit less then 1% of all gun related crimes. That's right, Legal firearm owners are responsible for the least gun crime of any demographic. Your opinions are formed without fact and from an unreasonable fear of an inanimate object and the people who own them.

either the gun collectors themselves may plan to, or they make themselves targets for robbery by people who plan to kill others

well what youre implying is that you think all militia groups in usa are perfectly acceptable and they all are totally legit and exist to protect usa

so all those militia groups that sprang up as soon as obama got elected the first time were legit too? they couldnt possibly be groups based out of racial hate, or groups formed as part of obama planning to send more troops out so using militia to be ready to protect usa

legal firearm owners may mostly be legit but as i said, the more guns they have the bigger target they paint themselves up for robbery by people who want guns for illegal purposes

its one thing to have a selection of a few guns, like one for specific hobbies, like a shotgun and/or rifle for hunting/targets, maybe something auto for shoting range fun....but having a roomful of guns for the sake of guns is overboard
