I hate people when they don't fully understand what is going on right at this moment. Obama does not want to order a strike on them. However he has left it on the table and he intends to unless Syria agrees to Russia's deal about chemical weapons.
They are using chemical weapons on their own citizens and children in hospitals.
The UK and France agree too that they have gone way to far and are part of the discussion with Russia and the Assad Regiment and the UK and France are both backing the US on the strike.

Adam. although Amber`s blurb is flabbergasting, on Friday I got a brand new Chevrolet Corvette from earning $7060 this - 5 weeks past and-a little over, ten grand this past-month. it's definitely my favorite-job I've had. I actually started six months/ago and pretty much immediately started bringing home over $83 per hour. moved here You need to login to view this link

If some people actually would look at the big picture you would understand why our country takes these kind of actions. Politics are actually important. It's history in the making.

It's upholding the Geneva Convention.
Stop bitching about Syria, this is one of the occasions where everyone is supposed to crack down on them.

I see a lot of sensible weighed opinions based on undistorted facts.

except we're not invading Syria. Damascus has admitted that it used chemical weapons, and Russia is forcing Syria to hand over its arsenal while the US has put military action on hold to promote diplomacy.

the real irony here is that you people in the comments are trying to be "political" but you can't even keep up with the current events.

If he doesn't do anything, it kinda voids the Geneva Convention, so...
#212 to #182 - oedad (09/11/2013) [-]
we violate the Geneva convention every time we hand a k-bar to an rifleman and use a .50cal on enemy combatants.

Well we weren't sure if Assad had done it or if it was the rebels. We know that chemical weapons WERE used but we don't really know who did it. Plus the problem is, Russia and China are backing Syria too, so attacking them now could escalate into another world war.

Obama is not the one calling for wars, he's just there as a showman. Western countries with the help of some of it's Middle East puppet states are funding and backing the so called Free Syrian Army (which is 90% made of Al-Qaeda fighters from all around the world) with weapons, logistics and political support. Al-Assad didn't want Syria to become another puppet state. Same happened to Libya recently and many other countries in the past. Al-Qaeda (and other Jihad groups) was created, is controlled, funded and trained by the same people who are behind Obama and other showmen politicians in the world. Media is playing with your mind and you are not even aware. This is just a peak in the rabbit hole, there's much more.

Whether or not al-Qaeda is invovled with the FSA as al-Assad claims, out of which part of your ass did you pull that 100% false percentage?
User avatar #258 to #229 - lvc (09/12/2013) [-]
80% of the so called "rebels" are foreign terrorist proxy armies (Wahhabi and Mujahedin) which are basically all Al-Qaeda or Al-Qaeda's off shoots like Al-Nusra front and similar terror groups and brigades. Those are the same terrorists that destroyed Libya, tortured and brutally killed it's leader with the help of western governments. There is also (domestic) Syrian Al-Qaeda which is about 10%, and the rest is "legit" Free Syrian Army - basically the same situation we had had in Libya. When you talk about the Al-Qaeda, it doesn't matter if you're Syrian or American or from Europe or from Asia or Africa. As for the Syrian people that indeed are in the ranks of FSA and wanted change in the country, a lot of them are beginning to realize that they've been deceived and that this isn't what they had in mind. There is less of them in FSA now than ever and many are accepting Syria's government calls to put down their weapons and return to normal life. Many of them are also joining the Syrian Arab army. This is not a popular uprising for a better life. Syrian people are being beheadead and raped, their homes looted and towns, villages and infrastructure destroyed. This is a total destruction of their country and their independence and another step in undermining the anti-imperialism front.
User avatar #260 to #258 - keiishiyama (09/12/2013) [-]
And your proof of this information is...? Only al-Assad's government says al-Qaeda is involved with the FSA. Where is your definite proof of these percentages?
#261 to #260 - lvc (09/12/2013) [-]
I cannot give you proof in a way that you're asking me Even if I had, we'd be running in circles because we're on completely different levels (no offense intended).

As for the FSA and al-Qaeda, many know and many have said it, both in Syria and worldwide. The fact that 98% of media is completely biased and won't publish it is a different thing (that's why you shouldn't rely on media but get knowledge and figure it out on your own).

People sure like yo go on about how this candidate sucks, and how it would have been better had the other one won.

Especially the people who supported Ron Paul (nothing against him, people just tend to have an "I told you so" complex when it comes to him).

I hate to break it to you guys, but even if you had an infallible President, who knew the best thing to do all the time every time, he (or she) still couldn't do dick all to change things. Congress will never 100% agree with him (or her) and congress will never agree with itself.

You can either realize politics are ****** , and be glad you live somewhere where war isn't going to effect you, or you can try to change something.

But really it's all ****** . No one presidential candidate would have changed that.
