I’m going to refute these because conservatives are ******* retarded
1. Well Wall Street did crash the economy; in a normal economy a poli sci degree would be good enough to get you a job. And I’m saying this as a Microbiology and Immunology major, I’m not even in Arts.
2. I’m sorry but who is the one trying to take away the rights of women to have access to contraception and abortion just because THEIR beliefs say that we should have as many babies as possible?
3. The Federal government was increased in size by Bush more than any other recent president.
4. “There’s class warfare alright, but it’s my class, the rich class, that is making war, and we’re winning” – Warren Buffet (second richest man in the world). Occupy is just the rest of the country finally waking up and doing something about it.
5. Non-issue.
6. Most liberal supported the NATO mission in Libya.
7. I never heard any liberal say ban McDonalds. Especially since the US doesn’t have a civilized public healthcare system so there’s no reason to want to ban it.
8. Last I checked most of the people with power in the country have been old white men.
9. No comment
10. No comment
11. The name was changed to climate change because conservatives are retarded. The earth as a whole is warming. But warming affects different parts of the globe differently. The poles are melting, but somewhere else its getting colder. Thus climate change discredits the conservative argument that “oh its really cold this year, global warming must be false” which just goes to show that they don’t know what climate means. 97% of scientists say climate change is happening and is caused by people. The other 3% are scientists paid by oil companies so **** them, we know this because conservatives quote those studies all the time, then you look into it and they were funded by Exxon or BP.

I am a liberal as well and I'm gona have to ask you to stfu because your making us seem even dumber. You cant say your going to refute them and then say "non-issue" or "no comment" You cant just say bush made the government bigger, you need at least one example. And just because you say "you never heard" or "most liberals" does NOT make it true. Oh and btw saying all conservatives are ******* retarded and then posting this trash is just stupid. the only thing i agree with is 11, so kudos for that.

Well its not very typical if liberals themselves have never heard anyone use these, is it?

It is ANON, anyone who won't even attach a user name to their opinion hasn't got much conviction.

actually it was me i just forgot to sign in for the first half of my rant

Good, because I mostly agree with you. I just decry the general anonymity of the Internet. It is very easy to have strong opinions in a forum. It becomes harder in a bar :-)

12. White people shouldn’t feel guilty for slavery, they should feel guilty for the continued racism, just watch FOX news, and the removal of resources from black communities in order to fund tax cuts for the wealthy so they can “create jobs” (How’s that job creation working out for us, 10 years of tax cuts, where are the jobs?)
13. We don’t care if you’re religious; we care if you’re religious and try to force your values onto a secular country through legislation and teaching it in the public school system while suppressing scientific fact. **** YOU.
14. Affirmative action exists to combat the lack of resources and opportunities that minorities receive. 38% of black children live in poverty compared to the national average of 25%.
15. No, your source is biased because it’s funded by oil companies or the Koch brothers.

**** YOU

A Canadian

Tax cuts are a TEMPORARY fix to an economy, just like an increase in spending. Except cutting taxes is better (in my opinion) than just printing money and saying you have more of it. If you do it for too long, you'll overstimulate the economy and cause a crash. I don't agree with a lot of what Bush did, but the tax cuts WERE actually working, and he wanted them to die before overstimulation happened. Congress at the time wanted to keep the tax cuts going, and in turn royally ****** the economy causing it to crash a LOT bigger than it should have.

The tax cuts were for the rich and they did not "trickle down". Spending increases was how your country got out of the great depression, by investing in infrastructure and transportation and education etc. etc. The Bush tax cuts were not working. You need to RAISE taxes on the wealthy because they're paying an average of 13% right now because of all the loopholes. By raising revenue for the government you can stop your deficits and balance the budget like Clinton did, maybe even have a surplus like he did, and stop adding to your debt. The last Republican to balance the budget was Dwight Eisenhower, Just saying

first off, the great depression ended because of WWII and the destruction of the infrastructure and industrial production capabilities of most of the developed world, except the US. secondly, the new meme of class warfare as expressed by the likes of initiatives such as the 'buffet rule' to tax the wealthy are smoke and mirrors. look at the US deficit (how much money we spend per year in excess of our budget), the US debt (money currently owed) and most importantly this little gem 'unfunded liabilities' (social security, medicaid/medicare). now, look at how that number compares to revenue generated by the 'buffet rule.' protip: its comparable to ******* on a forest fire

But it was federal spending from The New Deal that got people working again. And I agree the Buffet Rule is way too conservative considering what the tax rates on the wealthy were in the past. But I think that they think that's as good as they're going to get since the political spectrum has shifted so far right over the last few decades, so far that Reagan would most likely not win a Republican primary, and he's probably too liberal for a democratic primary too since he raised taxes so many times.

i'm the anon from before. i'll go ahead and state i hate neo-conservatism. i disagree that The New Deal was responsible for the salvation of the US economy, i believe keynesian economic theory is dead in the water and will be proven so when the inflationary practices of the last ~12 years (more than that, really) show their true impact on the economy. as an example on why raising taxes on the rich will fail, look at the current US corporate tax rate, it is now, literally, the highest in the developed world, ~39%. corporations will react, as before, by moving HQ's overseas, claiming profits in foreign countries and exporting jobs. the wealthy will react in the same manner and the net result will be a decline in revenue.
