"... and then the US dropped their new super weapon on one of their own cities. The population was devastated, and the rebellion against the government was on the hands. As a consequence all parts of US industry and food production were stopped (the huge manufacturers in Detroit (Ford etc.) was also laid to dust due to the nuclear blast), and the army, standing at the beaches of Japan was halted.

Months later, as the rebellion had evolved into a straight out civil war most of the American troops had been called home from both theaters while the Soviet Union had invaded Japan. This cleared the way for communist dominance of the whole of Asia. The preoccupied US was not able to intervene when Korea became fully communist a couple of years later, and would not struggle against the communist rule of Vietnam, and most other Asian countries a couple of years later. Communism also spread like wildfire throughout Europe. There was no Marshall help in effect to limit their influence.

In the mid fifties the second American Civil War had ended with millions of dead, and the US was merely a shadow of what it was prior to the drop of the nuclear bomb over Detroit.

Meanwhile the world was engulfed in Communism, and the sole superpower of the world, the Soviet Union, threatened everyone with their presence. Lenin's dream of a "revolution of the proletariat" had finally come into fruition, and as a consequence in the end most countries of the world turned communist."

Option 1) Soviet Union has no enemies and doesnt go all balistic with nuke production. Resources are used on more constructive things and economy flourishes. Everyone has state sponsored apartmant, healthcare and education. No capitalistic and banking slavery. 8,5/10 would live in
Option 2) refer to 1984
