Antarctica is actually the largest desert on Earth. It gets only 200mm of precipitation a year.

Of course if they just meant in terms of how often it's covered in snow then that's different.

No, we really do. Australia owns somewhere between 1/3 and 1/4th of it, Norway owns like 1/5th, then the UK, New Zealand and some other countries own small fragments.

The claims were made before the treaty was set in place, and as such are legitimate, so they are officially under ownership of their corresponding countries (with the exception of certain overlapping claims which are just lying around as some unresolved bureaucratic ******** ).

Just thought I would let you guys know that the US has by far the most snowiest places on Earth, and Japan is also pretty snowy. Once you get to far towards the poles it is literally too cold to snow.

I thought Antarctica had less snowfall than basically anywhere due to the fact that it's a desert. It's just from the fact that it's a giant block of Ice under erosive effects that there's a snow cover?
