And what's funny is that during that time (in which the film takes place) the Dutch were known as a very tolerant people.

But then him standing up there as the 1st wouldn't make sense, because being under drugs means disqualification

I see that, but Canada's got more gold and silver which give them a higher rank in the standings.

The Netherlands won't stay in the top three for long. We happen to conquer speed skating, but we don't have many athletes for the rest of the sports during the winter Olympics. We're just a small country.

To be fair,we've got 3~4 times the population of Norway. Just fewer mountains, and less snow. Canada brought a small army of athletes, so that's okay. It's a bit of patriotic pride to just be up there for a little while.

True, and it's definitely nice to be up there. But well, I guess each country has it's own sport to reign at ^^

The characters whole personality was established in the first few episodes, and America is a country. That's like comparing a pencil and a tank in there ability to jog.

Well, we Norwegians are interested in winter sports no one else are. Biathlon and cross-country skiing draw the most viewers, while popular sports worldwide like snowboarding are small in comparison.

Do you reckon Sean White will take it home again?

also considering he backed out on slopestyle it could mean a number of things,

1. he's saving all his energy to win it again
2. he was genuinely concerned for safety because of the nature of the slopestyle course
3. he felt like he wouldn't be able to compete against the other riders in slopestyle, so he might feel a lot of pressure to succeed than he has in the past.

not hating on him though, he's a great guy and even better rider.

Mark Mcmorris in feb 8th slopestyle olympic comp.

i'm hoping for mark McMorris, Morgmo Torstein or Sage Kotenburg.

I know i'm probably gonna get ripped on for it but curling is really good competition this year. Norway is doing really well actually i think.

(sage might be out of it though because of a collarbone injury, we'll see i guess)
