The sad thing is Britain and America are just as bad as each other. When the Scottish referendum comes round I'm voting for independence, not because I think Scotland will grow and prosper, but because I think its only a matter of time before the British politicians destroy what is left of a once great nation, all in the name of self greed.

I would rather go down as an independent country, sitting on a thrown of lies that I created with a little national respect rather than being drowned in a sea of **** created by the privately educated, born with a silver spoon in their mouth, sorry excuse for politicians...

It's every man, woman and child for them self...

Merry Christmas

Been thinking the same thing. As an Englishman I am ashamed of our so called politicians, bickering all the damn time like children. We need to just get rid of them all and start again with better MPs who aren't money grabbers and a better PM who isn't a weak leader. And now they want an 11% pay rise and are taking appart our military because they don't have the money they give away freely to immigrants.

Blimey, do we like to forget that we saved Scotland from just plain going bankrupt after they failed their attempt at colonisation.

>What's left
Sorry to inform you dude, Britain has been dead since post WW2. There is damn near nothing great about "Great Britain". You're not just drowning in a sea of **** , the **** has removed Britain, and has taken it's form.

Also please do vote for independence, we're tired of Scotland leeching off England.

"Analysis published today will say Scottish revenues outstripped the rest of the UK in each of the past 30 years when a geographic share of North Sea revenue is included.

Tax revenue was £56.9 billion in the last year, equivalent to £10,700 per person in Scotland and compared with £9000 per person for the UK as a whole, according to the new figures." -The Herald (11 April 2013)

"Scotland provided 9.4% of total UK revenues and got 'only' 9.2% of UK public spending in return." -BBC news (9 January 2012)

We would happily stop leeching of England, we would be better off for it
