Korean War. Just kidding it's the Vietnam War. I'll laugh at anyone who didn't read the description. That means not you... But the Americans lost a fraction of what the North lost. It would be more accurate if the Vietnam ball had the crutches and the American one had a bandage and i Love You

No. The Vietnam war was much less than the recent Iraq war and not to mention the US was in a much better position economically at the time. The war just lost approval back at home.

We technically didnt win or lose because Congress never declared war, they just gave LBJ unlimited power to do whatever in Vietnam with the War powers resolution.

Just because Congress never made a formal declaration of war doesn't make it any less of a war. There were also no formal declarations of war for: The Korean War, The Gulf War, The Second Gulf War, and the war in Afghanistan.

That being said, North Vietnamese forces took a hell of lot more casualties than the United States, so its unfair to show Vietnam with just a band-aid and the USA with severe injuries.

Is fatalities really how you measure how successful a war is though? the extent of americaball's injuries could be symbolic of the wounds it took to it's feeling of superioirity.

No that's not how I measure the success of a war. I completely accept that Vietnam won the war. But they took a beating in the process...

Actually, we accomplished our goal, a peace treaty between north and south Vietnam. After we withdrew our forces the NVA rolled into Saigon practically unopposed.

If you are looking at casualties, the US lost more people to traffic accidents, crime, disease, and natural deaths then died in Vietnam during the same time period.

We failed to accomplish our goal of protecting the South from the North, but look up the casualty reports after the war and you will see that the US kicked some serious ass in Vietnam. The Vietcong was nearly decimated at the end of the war and the NVA didn't fair much better. I don't see how people always get this misconception that the US was whooped in Vietnam.

Sigh, yes officially, but it was America who urged the UN to go to war in Korea, so it was their Idea (: They were able to do so, because Russia had boycot UN at the time - but okay, believe whatever you want

US lost less than half the north lost, and the cong werent doing much better, It was just more pricey to send troops there at the time so they just decided to leave, they still accomplished their goal so I'd call it a tie in my books.
