To be fair, if Quebec separate. Canada would be begging them to keep their money.

Also this whole jobs, military, healthcare, infrastructure, etc. make no sense. Money that "quebecois" pay at the moment to the federal would simply go to Quebec to finance those sector.

I'm French and I totally understand it. Okay there's a few expressions I don't get but it's far from jibber-jabber. I find it actually pretty funny and so do a lot of my fellow countrymen (a lot of quebecois stand up / one man show are successful in France).

C'est parceque le français Québécois avait comme origine le français des filles du roi, qui furent envoyer par le roi dans le but de faire agrandir la population du territoire. Ainsi, le français Québécois est plus près du vieux français de la cours que du moderne.

You know nothing of politics dont you? Québec does NOT want to ******* separate, it this a small minority that pushes the issue, exactly 13,1%... That's less than Newfoundland. It's not because they were here first that they want to be a country, its because they represent a different NATION from anglo Canada, they have a different culture and different traditions. The vast majority of Quebecois do not hate Canada, on the contrary, they dont give a flying **** about it. Think before you talk.

... Pretty ******* sure the vote to secede Quebec from Canada won with a 51% majority, which means a 49% push to secede. So no.

AND ANOTHER THING, all the other cultures of Canada seem pretty damn happy to be here, and so they should! Our country is far from perfect, but I'm proud to say it's better than most. To date, I've met a lot of Quebecois, and so far I'd say a good 90% of them hate the Canadian way. They hate the fact that they are taxed (despite the fact that they reap the benefits), they hate the fact that the first-spoken language is english, they just hate hate hate hate. They ride around with "Je me souviens" plastered on their liscense plates, ALL of their liscense plates, and, for those of you who don't know, "Je me souviens" means "I remember" in english. The reference is to a three-line quote from an old French-Canadian commissioner, reading: "Je me souviens que né sous le lyns, Je croîs sous la rose." This translates into "I remember that though I was born under the lily, I grew under the rose."

The lily being France, and the rose, England.

It's that kind of **** that pisses me off about the Quebecois. No matter how much the rest of Canada gives them, they still seem to hate. Don't get me wrong, I've met a few really cool guys from Quebec, but that was only after I explained I had French-Canadian heritage.

So, (pun intended) excuse my french, but **** you, whoever you are. Don't tell me to think before I speak when I'm talking about issues within my own country. Have a nice day.

**** you? Really? That 51% you're talking about is from 1995, that's 18 years ago you silly boy. I'm from Canada myself and work in an environment, where french and english people have to coexist. You say Canada gives Quebec a lot? Yes, the FEDERAL government does and it also gives a lot more, financially speaking, to provinces like Ontario and Alberta, yet, they ask for more TOO. Stop trying to isolate Quebec from the other provinces when they do the same thing as them. That 13m1% I'm talking about... Comes from 2009. Thank you.

the entire expansion of america can be considered an imperialistic endeavor. Seeing as we pressed preexisting populations of indigenous peoples to the point that they live primarily on reservations. The entire western 1/3 of the country used to belong to mexico and Hawaii also got taken over.

You must also consider the Spanish-American war, which was the moment when our most imperialist colors flew. The U.S.S Maine being sunk in the harbor just off cuba, in which at the time thought an accident but now new evidence suggests we did it on purpose just to get in the war in hopes that if we win and keep cuba in debt we can take their country. Then at the same time there is the Philippines, in which we started a bloody war over, and even did our own concentration camps(What the **** America). and then after beating spain in the war, we forced them to give up their endeavor in the Tropical islands, and then took them for ourselves. we were awfully imperialistic, and did have somewhat of an empire.
