The Flyers 1976-1977 team (mostly canadians) beat the USSR so bad, that they actually left mid-period, and almost just quit. They came back, and got the **** knocked out of them.

One game. Now I will say that it was a huge accomplishment and turned into the best hockey movie ever made, but Team Canada beat the Soviets in an 8 game series, against basically the same group of players, 8 years before them. 8 years can do a lot to your play. need an example? 8 years ago Jarome Iginla was a Maurice Richard trophy winner, now he's bouncing around the NHL like a puck bunny at a rookie party.

He's still a badass and my favourite player though
