relationship in the world. A peaceful one too.
2. Most of the US's illegal immigrants come from Mexico, and securing the US-Mexican border is a much-discussed issue in American politics.
3. India and Pakistan have some kind of border closing ceremony between the two. See video for said ceremony.
4. The flag between Norway and Sweden is the flag of the Sami people, and indigenous population who can freely herd reindeer between them.
5. Armenia and Azerbaijan hate each other but their borders are hopelessly entangled. There's a chunk of land within Azerbaijan called Nagorno-Karabakh which is like 95% Armenian but "owned" by Azerbaijan (even though it has its own government). The countries have fought over it.
6. Poor Bolivia is landlocked after a war with Chile. Chile, now owning the Bolivian coastline, is teasing Bolivia.
7. Overwhelmed Turkey is being flooded with Syrian refugees.
8. Niger, Nigeria, Chad, and Cameroon surround Lake Chad and have drained its waters to dangerously low levels due to its competition of who can empty it out first. The 8 balls are not happy about that.
9. North and South Korea have been enemies since they were split up, but before that they were one country for much, much longer. Every once and a while they discuss getting back together.
10. Crossing the border into China from Afghanistan will jump you ahead 3.5 hours, because of the way the timezones are set up.
11. The Schengen Area, a constant party across Europe. The UK was invited, but he's not quite sure he likes what he sees.
12. Australia has no borders.
13. Western Sahara is an autonomous territory that claims independence from Morocco, though Morocco does not recognize the region's independence. India Pakistan Wagah Attari Border Closing Ceremony (By Sanjeev Bhaskar - The Longest Road).
