You bet your sweet ass it's another Fairy Type post, ************ .

So yeah.. Fairy type Pokemon. Yes, some of
them are cuddly, and that' s just for the kids
audience. But do you really think that' s all
there is to the matter and perhaps hate it for
being "cute"? Well, this one is for you,
When you think Fairy, you probably think
Tinkerbell or Navi. It really doesn' t make
sense why they' d scare Dragons, does it?
Meet Morgan
Fay from the legends
of King Aurthur.
human, immortal,
spellcaster and
She' s inspired many tales, including a Marvel
character by the same name. She was an
opponent of the 70' s Avengers. Her plans are
to 'take over the world' with Magic.
If it is the size or
behavior that' s
bothering you, look
no more than to
Oberon and Titania are King and Queen of the
Fairy Kingdom in "A Midnight Summer' s
Dream". However, Oberon is a Human.
Titania, the Empress of Fairies seems to
display matured qualities in her
interactions with Oberon.
Last but not least, JRR Tolkien, creator of The
Lord Of The Rings (And The Hobbit) named
the Genre, that' s right, "Faerie". According to
him, anything supernatural/ magical was Fairy,
including 'the wicked worm' Smaug.
There are numerous creatures like Werewolves,
Sirens, Banshees, Nagas etc., that are truly
Fairies". So, ifyou' re bent on hating the Fairy
type for these reasons, then it is through your
own fault and crude ignorance.

I'm okay with the typing, it's just the name

I would have preferred something along the lines of mystic or like, even, Faerie, just 'cause it has an air of magic around it.

The weaknesses are all kind of obscure, flying is weak to rock because of the saying "two birds, one stone". Bug, Dark and Ghost are strong against psychic because those are fears that even rattle the most rational mind. The reason Fairy is strong against Dragon is because in the FAIRY tales, the dragon always gets slain.

Referencing better forms of fiction doesn't excuse the fact that goo goo eyed, fluffy-puff Pokemon are going to be knocking the **** out of dragons for no real reason other than "Fairy tales say that dragons can be killed!". Which is ******* ******** .

I hate you, nah make that dislike. You talk about Morgan le Fay and leave out so much. How about half sister of Authur . Her role as atanagonist in the legends. Also you mention the fey but no mention of seelie or unseelie. It's the root words of silly. seelie is "good" fey and unseelie are evil horrible monsters on the whole like redcaps.

Pokemon and those other things you've listed off have entirely different lore behind them. Meaning Fairies in one universe may not mean what fairies mean in another. Fairy Pokemon, seem to me, like Normal types with a bit of a 'Light' attribute added. I don't know how Fairies will actually do anything against Dragon types ( And by your logic, dragons are considered fairies too ) but I think that they just wanted a new Pokemon type to throw into a new game. Seeing as they've used all other elements and ideas as they possibly could, they decided to go with Fairy.

All supernatural beings in Tolkien´s book, aside of the gods (Valar) and the elves are Maiar. Gandalf, Saruman, Smaug, balrogs, Sauron are Maiar.... I have never heard they were "fairies"! Elves are the most fairly like though....

From this i can somewhat see Zoroark /Houndour/Houndoom becoming part fairies.....

Fairies in D&D are the most annoying ******* things you'll every run across. Fey are hard as **** to hit, cast spells like bosses and really are only susceptible to carpet bombing the vicinity they are in multiple times.

I had one of my mates reincarnated as a fey from a human sorcerer (by a Druid 3.5) and he went from average to Godlike. Charisma and Dex combined with obscene AC from size/dex, and the bastard could fly.
