dark type is awesome as **** , the only problem is that there arent many dark pokemon, and there aren't many dark pokemon moves that are good

sucker punch, crunch, dark pulse, dark void, nighslash. those are already great moves. all we need is more type combinations like a dark-rock sabretooth tigre fossil pokemon or something like that.

Faries in real life legend aren't exactly very focused. We see them now as the stereotypical pixie like tinkerbell, but in old lore they include elves, gnomes, goblins, nymphs, leperchauns and a huge variation of other things. They are essentially forest spirits that steal your children and kill people who are stupid enough to wander into a forest alone.

That sounds very good, obviously I don't know much about fairies aside from the tooth fairy gave me money but knowing the Pokemon Company they will definitely put a great spin on fairies from old lore of many cultures. Thanks for showing me how much potential there is for the new type.

there are dragon stories from many different cultures that come in different shapes and sizes for Pokemon to re-invent. You'll notice Japan have a different generic dragon to Europe, obviously there are the basic outlines that stay the same such as scales, breathing various things and flight but there are so many things that can be done.

If you had read tinglyturtletaint's reply to my original comment you would have noticed that s/he had already pointed this out to me and that I admitted that fairies weren't my strongest subject and that it was 'just me' but thanks for the wiki link

Mainly because my sister showed me the website and would only let me see certain stuff and she would hide the url, then when I was 11 I found out how to check history, and I just never had a reason to make an account.

I don't understand that when some games (Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc.) keeps the games generally the same, people get pissed and says that they need to change it up a bit.
But when Pokemon tries to change it up a bit, people get pissed because their changing it...

So. . . when they invented ice, dragon, dark, and steel, they shouldn't have gone back and changed it? Fairy type is just the light type with a different name probably because someone thought that light/saint sounded to spiritual or insulted someone somewhere.

CleFAIRY kinda should have that type. I mean, fairy is in the name, same with Gardevar, Jigglypuff, maril, snubull. Just deal with it, all these pokemon where already fairies and you now it. You just can't stand change (even though you probably ask for it), are insecure about something, are a genwunner, and needs to find something to hate.

TLR: Pokemon have always had fairies, it's the light type, and you need to stare at your own gif for a while, because it's more so refering too you.

Fairy types have been in planning for quite some time now, and they will transform old pokémon more fitting of fairy typing.
Marill will be Water/Fairy.
Gardevoir will be Psychic/Fairy.
And so on, the normal types will probably be replaced to mono Fairy types.

This isn't the first time we've seen pokemon being retyped. It happened during the transition between first and second generation. Plus, we have seen huge changes in core gameplay mechanics in each generation of games. So why is this a bad thing. I mean the pokemon we know of that is fairy type so far are practically useless on a competitive standard, maybe the retyping can give them some time in the spotlight too?

Electric types are generally really squishy and almost any strong attack is enough to OHKO. And the defensive electric type that comes to mind right now (Defensive Zapdos and Lanturn) have more than one type.
