But put it this way, the original 151 were apparently by 1 man. When Gen 2 came out, it was him with 2 or 3 other people, and he decided who would be in. Gen 3 came out, and he hardly drew any up, and Gen 4, he just approved which ones there could be. For Gen 5, apparently they had 20-50 people (difference sources say different things) and he just chose which ones would be in the series. Now just think, if about 5 people could make about 20-30 each, thats an entire generation, how many did they make for generation 5, and how horrible were they all that they didn't make it? Makes you glad for the ones we have now, doesn't it?

They aren't though. The new ones are pure imagination thus, creative. You're confusing creativity for stupidity. Just because the designs are (debatably) stupid doesn't mean they aren't creative. gen 1 isn't creative.
