For those wondering (assuming anyone actually cares,)

Pokemon almost always makes a third game after they make a pair (there have been exceptions to this), so I think they will make a pokemon Z somewhere down the line. Pokemon X has an earthbound legendary, which resembles how an x-axis is horizontal. Pokemon Y has a flying legendary, which resembles how a y-axis is vertical. Z will possibly be a water type, to resemble how a Z-axis is depth. Something that has an X, Y, and Z axis is 3 dimensional. If anything, these names make more sense than any others. At least thats my take on it. Make what you will of it.

The combination one is gonna be z for an xyz dimensions cause its in 3d.

I would like to see a pokémon game where you are the villian and not the hero..

any one notice how they keep going back to red and blue though...sort of...let me explain with box artin further comments...this will be a moment or two

I'm actually rather eager for it, the 3D graphics look cool, and also, the whole deal where it's the first time a game (or pokemon game at least) has been released at the same time internationally

Personally, I'm really psyched. Although Chespin and Froakie leave a bit to be desired, Fennekit looks cool, and the graphics are amazing. I have high hopes.

Sapphire, ruby and emerald weren't colors.. They're minerals and gem stones.
Along with diamond and Crystal.

Now they're into science, X and Y chromosomes. What next, sexual and asexual reproduction?

Diamond, Pearl and Platinum are not colours. Neither are ruby sapphire and emerald

I pretty sure it's they are called X, Y & then Z due to the 3 dimensions. sorry for stating the obvious.

I feel like these guys represent Life and Death, like Dialga and Palkia were Space and Time.
