There are a lot more colours they can use.

Only gen 1 and 5 used colors. The rest were precious metals and rocks, ******** .

There are still **** loads of colors they could use, like magenta, cyan, and lime.

The X and Y letters are representative of the X and Y axis of the 3D plane. They have always, up until Black 2/White 2, released the games in threes and are likely selling a 3rd game, Z. You are a retard.

The Axis idea is a good theory, but there is also a theory of it representing the sex chromosomes, also X and Y.
And yet another theory states that it's based on the old Norse "Yggdrasil" legend. X is the Guardian of Land (Xerneas) and Y is the Guardian of Sky (Yveltal).
Any of these could be correct as they all sound plausible.

Actually, I think that it's all (except the chromosome thing... I don't really get that one being a part of this)
Obviously X and Y is about the two new legendary Pokemon, but it's also about the X/Y axis... It's all connected to the new 3D layout
X = Horizontal = Land
Y = Vertical = Sky
It's really ******* obvious...

That doesn't make anything ******* obvious.
Look at Diamond and Pearl, the first games on the DS.
Space and Time. By your logic there, the DS first implemented the mechanics of Space and Time.
All of the theories are plausible when you take all the information into account and stop being a retarded cunt.

There's little rainbow double-helix shapes on the japanese logo

And then there's also the new form of Mewtwo, that pokemon that was created via cloning.

There's been at least four years between each completely new generation. They could easily use more colors, but they seem to be going with a DNA theme this time, so the names X and Y make perfect sense.

Since its for the 3Ds
X and Y represent the axis of a plane.

And if/when they make a combination sequel like they do with most games, it will most likely be titled Z

Can you explain how they milked the franchise? Only the main series games were named after colors/minerals, and there is at least a two year wait (4 up until now) until the next generation.
