I thought i was done with pokemon with the last ones that came out... Figures out, you can battle all the previous gym leaders, and some other people like Steven, Gary (I think), and possibly Red.

Go on Bulbapedia, the newest screenshots show the player battling "Blue", which is quite obviously the game-opposite to Gary, but whether or not that will be in the final release game is unknown.
