Just go out and get one of the Pokemon Ranger games. You get a Manaphy and an entirely new game to enjoy!

I think all of them have side-quests you can complete that give you a Manaphy you can send over to your Gen 4 games. I don't know if it works with anything higher than 4, though.

It doesn't, but to send it up all you need is a second DS, a Gen V game, and Pokemon Bank.
