I can't really see how the grass starters are reptiles. With the excpetion of Trecko (Gecko) I can't see any.

As said below with Bulbasaur. But also Turtwig is a turtle, and Snivy is a snake, both reptiles. And Chikorita evolves into Meganium, which looks like a sauropod.

Bulbasaur is one. Hence the "saur" at the end of each evolution's name.

Reptile, not dinosaur (and I know a dinosaur is essentially a reptile).

i feel they should stop making "new pokemon" really. like maybe a couple new ones with new games, but not entirely new generations. I mean, imagine if they kept the same pokemon theyve already created, but just made new games? Then we could talk to the kids who are starting their first adventures and be on the same page. And we could buy new games still enjoy the same pokemon without complainging about the 'new crap'.

Maybe it wouldnt have been as fun if they were doing what i just said from the start, but theres five, now six generations out. I think they could make games without making new pokemon.. just come up with different goals and such instead of just "beat 8 gyms and catch as many pkmn as you can on the way even though that doesnt really matter because you have to trade with other games to catch them all"

I think its going to be its own region, and if it is anything, then its the tokyo tower

But if that was the case, wouldnt the buildings around it resemble tokyo more? I know it does not have to be an exact replica but most people cant still spot similarities between different areas

I think it's probably best they make a gen6 first. well... i dont really want to see a gen6 myself, but its obvious this generation will be a lot different, so at least by making one game onn it first, that can be like the test run in producing an even better remake of gen3

Brendan made a cameo appearance, in Black 2 / White 2, in the marine tunnel, so I was honestly expecting the announcement to be a remake. However, with this new game, they've now introduced 3D to the mix, and frankly, it looks beautiful for a handheld pokemon game.

Let's look at something though: despite the new game, what I've gotten from different sources over the last few months is a.) they're aware of, and have hinted that they plan on listening to fans who have been wishing for a remake of r/s/e (which would already have been awesome), and b.) if they're going to eventually go ahead with this remake, you do realize that now, with X and Y, it is VERY likely that it would be in 3D, not to mention, have support up to 6th gen! So, instead of giving us R/S/E when they already had a new gen planned and in progress, they might be holding on to it, so it can support the new pokemon as well. Think about it, their options would have either been to release it without support for something that would be almost done when it hit the market, or, they could include the data for the new pokemon in the game, which would very quickly lead to a leak on the new pokemon, well before their official announcement.

tl;dr, don't give up hope, a fully 3D 3rd gen remake may be well on it's way, but with full support for the new pokemon as well.

I've played every game since FireRed/LeafGreen so I always try the newest game. I don't know why everyone hates B/W 1 & 2, I thought they were awesome games. Not only great new Pokemon but also a great story-line.

Never played them a lot but from what I did play i like them

I grew up on Pokemon, it was one of the first game I had for Gameboy Adv. so it's my nostalgia. I even watched the show up to the D/P series.

Mine too, but as i grew up i leaned more towards the Legend of Zelda and mario. Love those games to death
