timmity (05/20/2014) [-] No you ******* idiot, the game itself wasn't in complete 3D, I have a THREE DS, and most of the game did not allow you to turn on 3D because there was no 3D. Imagine making an entire, massive pokemon game TWICE graphic wise, just for an extra little feature? yeah, no.

somethingpants (05/21/2014) [-] I'm not sure if you misspoke or if yours is different than mine, but I have X and it allows me to turn on 3D just fine. It's more subtle than anything, but it's definitely 3D. Most of the time, even.

I see the appeal, I really do, but does the 3D make the game awkward for anyone else?
When the games were just the 2D sequences, it made it seem like the battle was taking place inside your head, and the game images were just representations of what was happening.
When I see it 3D, it kills my suspension of disbelief, and I'm forced to believe that my pokemon are actually just standing there taking hits and doing nothing to defend themselves whenever its not there turn.
I dunno, maybe it's just me.

Viceroy (05/21/2014) [-] A lot of the game is about your character, as a boy with psychic powers, having the ability to enter dream worlds based on the subconscious minds of other characters. It makes for really diverse level structure and unique platforming sections. You have to figure out how to navigate each world based on interactions with the character who's mind you've entered and characters and creatures within the dream worlds. The world's can be either hilariously silly, or intensely morbid, and sometimes it's hard to tell which sometimes. Aside from that, the story is really great, the gameplay is incredibly smooth, and my personal favorite aspect is all the unique characters. Just walking around the overworld talking to the other characters shows some of the funniest moments in the game. I implore you, play this game. It's like 15 dollars on steam.

I got it for even cheaper than it actually is in stores too; £80 with 3 games is a pretty good deal - considering the price would be about £160-ish probably with games in stores
