I never got Mew from the glitch, but I did get MissingNo and succeed in the items glitch many, many times.

I thought it was super-amusing that MissingNo would evolve at level 100, but just become a level 1 Kangaskhan. The running theory is (more rumors, of course) that this is left-over from a concept where Pokemon would have multiple evolution paths, with Cubone able to turn into both something else which would then become Kangaskhan; MissingNo was apparently the glitchy remains of the partially-removed 'something else'.

Rumors aside though, I think Pokemon would have been a lot more fun if there were multiple evolution paths. Even though the Digimon games thus far have been really bad in comparison, their one redeeming factor is that every creature doesn't follow a generic evolution path, but instead evolves differently based on what it has accomplished. Multi-path Pokemon evolutions would have added some much-needed intrigue to raising the little critters.

It's through a glitch, you need to either have fly or teleport via abra. I did it with abra, here is a guide to help ya out.

Yeah, because they would totally hide a super-rare pokemon under a truck that they intended nobody to get to.

Though, to be fair, the MisingNo and M glitch, and in turn the items glitch, were very oddly specific. From a programming standpoint, some portion of hat had to be intentional.

the text glitch only stays until you turn it off and back on unless you check your trainer card after beating the elite four
