Hey guys, and welcome to my first Planetside comp. I have, erm, 'been gifted' many a planetman webm and gif, and I really want to get them all uploaded.
In case you didn't know, the stereotype of your common NC grunt is Bond villain, with a splash of TK.
What makes this one even worse is that the guy on the shield dome is exploiting a grenade glitch.
South Americans: Ruining the fun of online gamers since forever.
When is the last time you played? If you played for the first year/ year and a half, I'd agree. However, a long while ago, they really buffed cert gain. Also, new characters get 100 certs a level until level 15, and that is enough to make a very competitive class or two. Also, to dismiss any pay-2-win arguments, you can't buy class or vehicle upgrades and abilities with money.
I downloaded it when it came out.
A bit of fun, but everything felt strange, particularly the shooting, and people didn't make an effort to communicate or explain the territory mechanics.
I pretty much gave up on it after that, because it disappointed me so much.
<Expecting your team to communicate.
<Expecting someone to take you on a pleasure cruise around the map and a tour of all it's exotic locations.
<Not loving the slow hellish grind towards a half way decent gun.
<Gave up.
What'd you start playing instead, Hatoful Boyfriend?
Pretty fun to play, with a small playerbase.
They're releasing a new patch that will basically reinvent the class system in a month or so, though, so it might not be the best time to try to get into it.
Launch day player here too. Gave up my first session, kept coming back and giving up for about 2 months before I finally had a session that had me hooked. Planetside is now my most played game on steam.
I can understand the frustration about game mechanics, there is still no real tutorial.
Game isn't for everyone, but it is too late for me.
