Well, the concept it sound.

Respecting religion means you have to respect ALL religion.

Legally the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster has to have the same rights as Christianity or any other religion.

It highlights the problem with pushing religion in places like public schools.

havn't you heard about the guy in Belgium (I think the news story was a while a go) who claimed he was a pastafarian and that a colander on his head for his passport photo.
