True story, about 6 years ago my best friend robbed McDonalds. He did get caught obviously, then went to prison for 2 years. Now whenever any of us see him we call him "The Hamburglar."
Though that can also be another point entirely--stores that seem like they would have a lot of money because they sell expensive **** usually do most of their sales via credit card and check, not cash.
True, but jewellers still have jewellery which is easy to fence - and easy to carry.
A better argument imo is that jewellers will have tight security, while for instance a restaurant is not used to getting robbed - so it might be easier to get away (unless you're in the US, and you get shot tho)
Is it easy to fence? Not exactly something I know much about, I assumed that micro-engravings have made it a bit more difficult lately.
I definitely agree that lax security is probably another benefit to robbing a McDonalds. That's probably more relevant to the point than anything else here. Lots of cash, little security, if you're gonna rob something that's pretty much what you want.
Of course, the dude in this story apparently got *caught*, so obviously it isn't THAT easy.
There's so much jewellery in circulation, guess it would be practically impossible to trace it. I'm no expert tho, but I just assume. If there's gold you can re-melt it.
Your friend not only makes poor life choices, but is of questionable intelligence. McD's has big ass signs saying money is located in a drop safe and tills only have like $100 in them.
I worked at mcdonalds. That how much they start you out with and they don't take out the money until the end of your shift (usually) because they're always too busy to do it at the intervals they're supposed to do them at. I had 600 bucks in mine once after 4 hours (and I was drive thru). Imagine getting my 600 bucks plus 600 from the 3/4 registers up front.
**northway used "*roll picture*"** **northway rolled image** Japan's population is 1/3 of US, that is like 127 million people, yet the gun homicide rate is so low. But god damn their age of consent is 13 years old.
