AR is the future. 3D AR furniture, tapestries. 3D printed (or solid-holograms in the future, if possible to achieve in a commercial way) chairs, tables, sofas. Augmented neural pathways for visual cortex manipulation (making the room look brighter or vice versa. Only time will tell. Technophilia is love!!!!!

feedtehtrollz (01/11/2016) [-] ... from that statement I'm assuming you've never bothered to look up what VR tech we currently have. They do have systems which can register your arms and legs, there's lots of videos of people picking up stuff and interacting with objects using VR software. to put it simply you can play fruit ninja with VR where you pick up the katana and then go ape **** on some fruit.
I'm on the side that it will be a long ass time before VR is the norm, especially considering it's a peripheral that costs the same as a console.
