> DS1 was a masterpiece
> DS2 was okay but was generally lacking in plot/atmosphere/intelligent multiplayer design
> DS3 features a return of the original design team for DS1. I have high hopes.
I played dark souls 3 at Pax Aus a while ago, the game is absolutely gorgeous. I died multiple times just because I was admiring the scenery too much. You can also see a lot of elements of bloodborne, but also keeping aspects of Dark Souls. This is definitely a game Im looking forward to. Also, it is still a hard game, so if anyone is worried about it being too stream lined, its not, there are still super hard aspects to the game. From the demo and what we were allowed to play, I also saw some really interesting things that could contribute to the lore, like there were a bunch of people praying to statues, so im interested to see what Vaati makes of it.
Man, I run at that ****** and start swinging. May not be the best strategy, but it's worked a few times now. You can't swing that big ass sword faster than I can swing my two tiny ones.

I made a character called the party boy with just a +10 falchion and the first cleric healing spell. Everything else is naked with the exception of Chesters hat. Every invasion I play the party boy theme song . 6 invasions later and beating Manus and Artorias first try, it hasn't lost.
During invasions, switching between your grass crest shield over and over again is also a must. Need to get the illusion of dancing and not taking it seriously.
I felt like dark souls 2 was a lot more frustrating than dark souls 2, especially with a lot of the early boss fights being in tiny arenas with big dudes who have wide, sweeping attacks
God help them if I'm using one of my non-legit characters. Why do I have cheated characters? Good question! It's mainly to see how fast I can clear areas with certain items. It helps when I start a new game and I want to try something new like an all-pyro run or a plank shield and dagger run.
I've only played dark souls so far. Never actually finished it either, keep starting up new characters as I learn new stuff and want to try new playstyles. I'll get it done eventually. It's still one of the best games I've ever played. Don't really see where the comments about it being hard are coming from though. My experience with dark souls has just been that it's different. Other games that are 'difficult' will just **** you with ******** . Dark souls has a definite learning curve but I feel that every time you die it's because you got cocky or overreached yourself, and that's great. I've never died in DS and though "That was ******** ". I just think that I need to get better.
One thing that really peeves me about DkS2 is that they removed the piercing damage from the Lucerne. Now it's slashing, wtf?. It was my favorite weapon to use in DkS1 with the Leo Ring. I play DkS1 on the PS3 btw come to the Undead Burg if you wanna get your ass kicked. PSN is lausinator3000
Me and my friend have been playing Dark Souls 1 together for the first time, switching off whenever we die, i havent played the second one but she's playing it so she's not tempted to go on in Dark Souls without me, and I just got Bloodborne and have been loving that
