While the PNG format is quite superior in terms of lossless compression, it produces extraordinarily large files.
The image you uploaded was unnecessarily large (both file size and resolution-wise)
I recommend downsizing all image to conform with a 640 pixels width.
I converted your image down to 640 width and into a PNG-8 Interlaced Web Format.
This image is now only 121KB as opposed to your original, which was 5.07MB.
In the future, I advise using more adequately-sized files. Some users may simply skip your content if it takes too long to load.
