I was in an abandoned house with my friend. He was carrying a baseball bat with him for whatever reason. We walked into a room and a bird shot out of the closet. He ******* Babe Ruth'd that bird, broke its neck.
It was pretty neet.
I actually find the live ones more useful.
A trap that kills tells rats: "Look, go there and die! Danger! Dangerous!" Rats usually have a few pals with them (depending on where you encounter them). In fact they sometimes have old/sick rats check out suspicious food or traps, to check for danger, so if it does kill the rat the rest of the group knows to stay away from those sorts of things.
So things that kill them right away warns the other rats and they learn to avoid it, thus why slow-killing poison is more effective as the kill more rats over a long period of time. Because they don't know ´that the poisoned food is what kills them.
And if you merely use traps that won't kill them, they don't learn either.
Being cruel and heartless is the best way to kill pests.
when I was 15 my dad used to kill pidgeons with a blowpipe he made out of some copper tubing and some nails that were fletched with blue painters tape.
