**dorg rolled image** Pretty big guy at 180cm, when in my teens I weighted about 75kg so by no means small. Neither fat or skinny, at least back then. Pretty muscular even though I was not the most active guy. Now I am a bit chubby yet still not fat at somewhere just above 80kg. I had some pretty damn raging hormones, I guess I was just really lucky or did something right without knowing what. I did get some blackheads however to be completely honest, it just never advanced from there.

Estimates say that acne is 80% genetic so that is reasonable. There are also some that say that stress plays a part, considering that I am as relaxed normally as most people are when high that seems reasonable. Hell, I don't know. All I can say that I never had a problem with it except blackheads which are pretty easy to solve and that I am non of the things you listed.

Any skin maintenance agent without alcohol is borderline useless. Alcohol is actually incredibly useful for disinfection and skin care, as it takes care of foreign elements in skin, and thus saves body the trouble of having them expulsed through pimples.

Which is exact reason why I stated that showering daily and that includes your hair is absolutely crucial in combating skin related issues. I have said I never had any problems with acne, not that they didn't try to surface.

All of those skin maintenance ointments are pretty much useless when you don't wash your body every day properly, and trust me, there are quiet a lot of people who wash every two or even three days, mostly among us males.

Your skin type wasn't one that reacted badly to alcohol then. But this is not the case for everyone, You're pretty much speaking for yourself here mate. Of course you have to wash yourself properly, and hair is indeed absolutely cruical for skin maintainance, but that doesn't mean it ultimatel resolves acne.
Also, there are different types of alcohol used by different types of skincare products. both good and bad. That's why you wouldn't go with a cheap brand like clearasil, they use the wrong type of alcohol. I have experienced this myself, at the start of my journey to treating my acne. The ones who contained ethanol left me with a matte finish, but caused irritation in the long last. Now I use a cleanser and toner without perfume or alcohol, based on more natural products. If you have acne, you would likely be sensitive to alcohol from the start on, so it was mostly a tip. Alcohol is not good for the skin even if you have normal, clear skin either way, it still dries it out. I take it you don't know so much about taking good care of your skin if you think just showering and splashing your face with water is an ideal skincare routine. Sure, it works for maintainance if you don't have a lot of zits, but it's not a good skincare routine. If you were interested in taking actually good care of your skin, you would've used a cleanser, toner and moisturizer. You don't have to have acne for using that, it's healthy for everyone.
I have skin issues now, yes, but they have improved like hell over just a couple months after I bought the right products.
My point is, you can drastically shorten a persons acne experience if they learn what to use right for their skin. People like you, saying Washing your face from time to time works you know... is not helping at all. It shoves people in the wrong direction, and just comes off as de-motivating and arrogant. You want to help? Learn about skincare and acne, don't just say what worked for you, as most of the things you said was incorrect. You see who got the red thumbs in this thread? Not me, it was you. Just learn from it man, I don't ask you to be an expert. But I would trust a person who has had acne but is clearing up now instead of a person who never had particulary bad skin. Just like I would trust a former fat person in weight loss more than a guy that has always been skinny.

Don't know what you are on, but most people don't have any problems with alcohol. If they did. cologne would be useless, as it prevents pimples from forming up on freshly shaved skin, and it helps against acne in the same way. Using alcohol based skin solution and washing your skin after does wonders.

If you were interested in taking actually good care of your skin, you would've used a cleanser, toner and moisturizer. You don't have to have acne for using that, it's healthy for everyone.

I have said it before, and I will say it again, taking good care of your skin mainly revolves with keeping up with your hygiene, which most people don't do, hence they have acne. If the problem persists, then use alcohol based treatment. If your skin gets irritated, you are susceptible to aggressive substances and thus you need milder solution. That is how it is.

Just because you have issues with alcohol based skin treatment does not mean everyone else does. In the end it is about how susceptible your skin is, but people with sensitive skin are minority.

Also that bit about fat people is pretty funny in my opinion. Fat people are usually fat because they don't burn enough calories, which means they don't have physically demanding job, nor do they exercise much, in the same way as most people who have skin problems don't take hygiene seriously enough.

And I repeat, most people with acne would have bad effects for cheap, alcoholic brands. You don't know that since you never had moderate or bad acne. And as alcohol dries out skin and causes wrinkles, wether you like it or not, a non-alcoholic treatment would be better for your skin anyway. It's not like they don't work(you wouldn't know since you haven't used any).

You clearly missed the point with my fat people example? I know very well why people are fat, but my obvious point was that it's easier to trust a person who've battled acne and overcome it instead of listening to a know-it-all without any experience in acne treatment, like yourself. And as said, poor hygiene is rarely the cause of acne for people in their late teens(which is a big part of this website, also high-schoolers and young adults) which would be the ones actually struggling with acne. Once you get acne, you become more hygienic to prevent it from becoming worse. Using the wrong products would make it worse. You understand, or are you gonna stand on your retarded point? Hygiene IS super-important, but its not the leading cause of acne if it's hormonal, and your type skin routine won't solve them either. Ok? I have experience with acne myself, as opposed to you. I have researched a lot to improve my own situation, whereas you've never been in it and thus consider only good hygiene to prevent it because you never know the other side of the coin.

Luckily, I have left all acne far behind. Unluckily, I have to take a blood pressure medication which has as a side effect rampant hair growth and growth of weird ******* hairs. So I get ingrown hairs all over my body (which I have to dig out regularly or they turn into sores) and I get super thick, split hairs called pili multigemini all up in my beard. An example, not mine, pictured. To give you an idea, those clusters of hairs are about 10 times as thick altogether as a regular beard hair, and if I tug on them even lightly they come right out. Sometimes I only have one or two in my beard, but at one point I grabbed my beard and tugged a bit and nearly a third of my beard came out all at once, painlessly. I would have taken a picture but I had a ******* panic attack from it and threw up so all the picture would have been of was puke.
