If he were eating like a true 'Murican he'd of went to McDonald's. And god knows that they pretty much toss all the ingredients in a box, shake it up, and wrap whatever comes out in that wax papery **** .

Oh no, don't get me wrong, they're both really bad. It's just, in my experience, when it comes to not giving a **** about how your meal is assembled, McD's trumps BK almost 9/10. I've almost never had a good experience with the BK in my hometown, but the McD's is always spot on.

Really it comes down to the workers themselves. I've worked at mcdonalds for over a year, and I have a friend who's worked at bk for a long time. We both agree that fast food stereotypes are either completely absent, or completely true simply depending on who is working at the time. But the thing is, the expectation is for it to look nice, so when it doesn't it's more of a shock and so is more likely to be talked about/posted on the internet
#241 to #62 - flflfl (08/19/2015) [-]

#182 to #47 - swedishassassin (08/18/2015) [-]
So was the Swastika for Germany. Why isn't that flown by German patriots?

A flag raised against the US flag for the sake of trying to keep the forced labor of human beings legal isn't something to praise. You can honor the men who fought like hell on the battlefield and find reasonable people on the Confederate side, but you can do the same for the genocidal Nazi party.

But did they win?
one war was started do to having no say in taxes, one was started because no one wanted to return runaway slaves to south Carolina
#54 to #51 - reginleif ONLINE (08/18/2015) [-]
**reginleif used "*roll picture*"**
**reginleif rolled image** South got a say in the policies that were made by means of the vote the Colonies did not. South lost the election game, threw a tantrum and started a war that cost 1 million lives.

Apples to Oranges.
User avatar #92 to #54 - commontroll (08/18/2015) [-]
Nah, they didn't start the war at all. They seceded, it was the North that refused to leave the forts in order to pressure the South into firing first. After all, the US didn't like the idea of Canada being just north of the border and having British troops, imagine if the Brits held onto a fort outside of Boston Harbor and could sink any ship they wanted. So after several months the South shelled Fort Sumter for a little bit and the Northern troops left. Which is what Lincoln wanted to happen so they would have an excuse to go to war.
#61 to #54 - anon (08/18/2015) [-]
Except the North started the war because they couldn't handle the South leaving.

#294 to #293 - bval (08/19/2015) [-]
It's not profitable at that price.
I work at that grocery store
User avatar #315 to #294 - lovot (08/24/2015) [-]
If you purchase pop in 12 packs it often has a 25c/can price, retail therefore it can be sold at 25c/can from a vending machine at the same store and still be profitable, provided the store actually owns the vending machine, and they didn't pay a ridiculous price to get it.
#316 to #315 - bval (08/24/2015) [-]
They still have to pay for electricity (a considerable sum) and the labor involved in keeping it stocked.
User avatar #317 to #316 - lovot (08/24/2015) [-]
If the vending machine has reasonably good insulation it shouldn't cost much to keep it running, the ones I have worked on used a 1/8hp compressor which is ~93w when actively cooling, so it would consume ~2.5kwh if the compressor ran all day, and it didn't run constantly, which would men the machine probably consumes ~1kwh/ or <20c/day (normally <10c/day if you don't live in a state that has high energy costs), they aren't exactly complicated to stock, the store has to have employees one way or another, so it could be loaded during the normal stock personnel's down time.

I have stocked, and maintained vending machines before, and in a high traffic area where the store is able to buy the cans direct from a local distributor, then 25c a can would be profitable, provided the local distributor is being reasonable.
#318 to #317 - bval (08/24/2015) [-]
K.
#295 to #294 - verby (08/19/2015) [-]

#296 to #295 - bval (08/19/2015) [-]

>using anecdotal evidence to disprove a claim

Lol bro do you even informal fallacy? Of course different mcdonalds/burger kings are going to have varying quality in their products. It's not the company making the food, it's the employees. I can tell you those pictures were not edited and the food was not messed with prior to the picture taking. The pictures of food that restaurants advertise are literally made by "food stylists". They are people who are paid to position the food to the most appealing angle, use inedible products to give the food an appealing look and texture (such as cardboard, toothpicks, motor oil, fabric softener, hairspray, glycerin, and using tweezers to detail the food). Food is almost never going to look as advertised.

Source for the food stylists: www.cnbc.com/2014/05/19/why-restaurant-meals-dont-look-like-the-ads.html

User avatar #110 to #109 - Waldowitharedhat (08/18/2015) [-]

And it's fairly accurate where I live. Most burgers don't look that much better than the ones in that picture. (the ones on the right, not the advertised ones)
User avatar #111 to #110 - schneidend (08/18/2015) [-]
I didn't say you did anything. I was pointing out the obvious flaw in the picture you posted. I didn't say "Waldowitharedhat made this, and he is being dishonest."

User avatar #36 to #35 - edowaado [OP](08/18/2015) [-]
in Denmark you have to pay around 30-40 cents for each small pack of Ketchup

How do you live in such an oppressive society?
User avatar #274 to #44 - daniboyi (08/19/2015) [-]
Because junkfood isn't sold quite as much in Denmark compared to America, still a lot, but not quite as much, and therefor McD has to compensate in other areas for the lack of customers.

By paying 50% Taxes

We pay about the same amount of taxes in Finland but we don't pay for ketchup.

The 2AM shopping at Wal-mart thing brings me nightmares of when I used to work overnight at a Super Wal-mart...

******* rednecks....getting into a fist fight...over a ******* tire at 3AM.

Well for those of you with an aversion to "unhealthy" things, we do offer the cuntina menu. It's designed for soccermoms, health nuts, vegans, and all the other people that roll up to taco bell and magically expect everything not to be deep fried.
taco bell employee here. Go on, ask me stuff.
User avatar #236 to #234 - peezle (08/19/2015) [-]
Alright, I'll ask you something.

How often did you bust Baja bootleggers before they sold them in stores?
User avatar #238 to #236 - secondlawprevails (08/19/2015) [-]
Never. When you get it on a daily basis it loses that special place it holds as a rarity. Now I mostly drink water or lemonade while I'm there. Drinking soda everyday was making me fat.
User avatar #239 to #238 - peezle (08/19/2015) [-]
I'm trying to cut down on soda myself after i felt pain in my kidneys. it's hard as **** .
User avatar #240 to #239 - secondlawprevails (08/19/2015) [-]
Easiest way to cut back on soda is to replace it with juice I found. Also if you find yourself really wanting soda I found you can mix 9-1 juice with a sprite, Sierra mist, etc and it normally scratches that itch without being terrible for you.

You shut your whore mouth, anon. Crunch wrap supremes are the bomb.

Never really got the hype behind those. I much rather prefer the chalupas. But that could be because I'm an employee and I get my chalupas right out of the dryer and they are the warmest fluffiest most heavenly thing there is. Next time time you go ask for a freshly fried chalupa. It's a little bit of a sick move, but it tastes spool much better than one that was fried five minutes ago.

bruh... two words: potato taco. NO! SHUT UP! go and get one before declaring it gross. (I prefer mine without sauce)

User avatar #105 - jalauren (08/18/2015) [-]
Which part did you visit? I live in texas, and although whataburger is the best fast food chain (burger wise), it still doesn't really look "as advertised".

Also, where are you from?
User avatar #148 to #105 - edowaado [OP](08/18/2015) [-]
I'm from Denmark. I visited San Antonio. And yes Wataburger was amazing!
