Once when I was writing a story, one of the readers messed with me because I used the term "red blood". He said that blood was already red and my definition was stupid. He might've had a point, but was a dick about it.
So I added blue blooded monsters to the story just to mess with him. But in time they became a critical part in the story. I even reached 45k+ reads.

Point is; sometimes being a salty faggot pays off.

A forum, and it was popular in it's own category in my country. I was a mod and one with the highest message count, you could see me in a lot of topics and notices. So I took advantage of it. Created an ad-signature with PS.
Also I kinda geared the story to be interesting to people there. For instance, instead of writing long chapters, I wrote short ones because people of that site liked that.

Yes, you even have to sign a contract. Their are a bunch of things you have to do as per contract or you loose your webcomic-license. Its really serious business.
