There's nothing fashionable about a white t-shirt and black jeans but I do my best to wear anything like that pretty much every day. I'd say I blend in.
I dunno. Don't be too quick to try and define fashion. It pretty much does whatever the **** it wants. I've had long hair for as long as I can remember and suddenly people are getting top knots and man buns.
I feel like I'm either conforming to a ****** fad, or being a hipster for 'doing it first'.
It's nice to be an individual. It's shameless to have to try to be.
dude fashion is ENTIRELY man-made and controlled
It's not a natural occurrence, it's decided and marketed and all sorts
This **** is a massive industry
You do you and if others are doing you too then it's whatever
That's how I go about
Couldn't give a **** if Im on some fad line or if Im the only one in town dressed like this
That's pretty much my principle but I feel like other people are more aware of it than I am so I have to tread carefully. Plain shirts, plain jeans. No claims, no statements.
Its a cool ******* drawing as well. Looks so goofy and bouncy, he's almost melting towards the ground. I can imagine the way he walks and gestures just by the clues given from the art style. A portrait focused more on portraying attitude and personality than of vanity. That's some **** I like, there's much more humility in caricature.
Shhhhhh shhhhhh... Art is about interpretation. Even now when I'm spewing words I don't fully understand in a configuration that doesn't quite make sense, I'm just hoping someone intelligent might come along and perceive it as literary genius. Its the nature of critique.
Female, and no, I did not. I spent the first 6 months at that job working 50 hour weeks in heels that hurt my feet because it wasn't actually a desk job. I spent the majority of the day at a counter, working with customers , so I searched for a quality shoe that had relatively flat soles so my feet wouldn't ache anymore, and this is what I decided on. They were functional, not for fashion.
okay story time FJ
>be me
>running late for work
>Find one shoe out of a pair
>spend another ten minutes looking for other one.
>no luck
>see brother's pair of shoes (a little smaller than mine, but whatever)
>grab one of the pair
>put my shoe on and one of my brothers
>Go to work
>other people notice and point it out so I tell them the above story
>everyone asks why I just didn't wear my brother's pair instead of two separate shoes.
>MFW it never dawned on me to do that.
"Oh, haha, I wear mismatched socks! Look at how quirky and dysfunctional I am! Gosh, I'm just such a weirdo, haha!"
Pretty much every teen girl wears mismatched socks. Anyone who buys socks with intricate designs often wears mismatched socks. It's not weird or abnormal and it doesn't indicate bad fashion sense. It just means you're too ******* lazy to pair off your socks once they get out of the laundry.
He's actually completely ******* right.
These faggots think that if they thumb him down, it will somehow translate into goodboy points that they can spend the next time they come into contact with a female.
Obedience is probably the least attractive trait for any human being.
well when something is retarded like this people tend to find it funny.
Being we are on funny junk people will thumb up things they find funny so it's the thumbs are probable coming from them people who said it's retarded. or you could just click the question mark next to the red thumb and find out who's thumbing it up.
Holy **** , all its takes is for somebody to draw themself as a cute dainty anime girl and every thirsty little obedient faggot thumbs it up. "You're so good! We'll done! We accept you! Wow amazing!"
Some of you were even complimenting the less than amateur art style as if it gives any meaning other than "Look at me and how cute I've made myself look in my ideal world. Also, my co-worker is an ugly frumpy nerd by comparison but don't worry, I'm quirky!."
This is ******* crazy town. You'll really do anything to give gratification to someone who may or may not be a female desperately looking for attention?
If I get thumbed up, its because I'm right.
If I get thumbed down, its because I'm right.
Its deliberately provocative. It's not conformation bias either, I'm highlighting that the same people I'm addressing will likely thumb me down for reasons stated. It's also an invitation to thumb me down and provide a reason other than "because I think the girl on the internet will like me if I do."
I'm sure if anyone has a genuine defense for why this sub-par comic has so many thumbs they will let me know why I'm wrong and I welcome their response.
It has thumbs because worse stuff gets thumbs. People are only nitpicky because it's an Oc-Comic-Maker post, so they're able to directly criticize the source. Yet they're apparently fine with seeing the same 30 second video on front page 50 times in the last week.
There's a gif of just Boobs on front page, but but people whine about an attention-whore comic featuring socks.
It has so many thumbs because, despite it being meh at best, it's still better than 90% of the other content here, and is something slightly more original.
and just to clarify, I don't find this comic funny, I just think other content is worse. I was just addressing your last sentence
That's a fair comment. In fact, my point is that people on FJ are thirsty faggots. I just drew the line at this one. They see a female making OC as a change to directly interact with a girl and so they go ******* overboard with the thumbs and compliments and **** . Cringey as **** .
I mean, we should encourage people to post OC here, because I sure as hell can't draw. I don't care if they're a boy or girl, even if I think the comic sucked ass, I'd try to avoid saying something "w0w u suck, leave". I agree the joke kinda was lame on this one, but this comment section is half white knights and half angry basement dwellers who hate anything.
