Ha, snow... Haven't seen that in a good couple of years. In the coastal areas of England, this is basically our whole winter. And autumn. And the other two seasons too.

This is so not true... My school never closes no matter how much snow there is. Two years ago we got like 3 feet overnight (added on the 2 feet we already had) and school wasn't canceled... until a kid lost control of his car and died on the way to school... but anyway, your post is false sir. Live in Vermont btw.

This was posted last week. Someone pointed out that the second pic is from North Dakota.

That's because in most areas of the US they aren't prepared for or used to getting much snow at all.

I live in Norway. My thoughts exactly each time I go to school in the middle of a snow storm. Thank god I can stop using public transport next year.

here in Iowa it takes at least 6 inches to cancel
sometimes more if the principal/ superintendent is being stupid and overlooking people not being able to drive in that live on back roads (like me)
User avatar #60 - chubberbrother (11/26/2012) [-]
No, that's only in southern USA where they don't have anything to plow the snow. In the north we go to school with 5 foot drifts.

I lived in northern New Hampshire for 7 years and they never cancelled school for snow, my bus would go on back roads even after 4 ft of snow, but when I moved to WV they cancelled school if there was more than an inch.
