Granted yes, but that doesn't make this post wrong. Considering each of these people committed a sin that directly led to their death. Meaning they couldn't accept Jesus.

Except Freddie Mercury* but he was still committing a sin with knowledge of it being one and still had not accepted Jesus along with the laws that follow.

Accepting Jesus doesn't mean you stop sinning. It means you know you're a sinner and you want Jesus to help you.

you also have to be repentant. if you just say "hey jesus i'm sorry, will you forgive me?" but don't really mean it, it doesn't count.

Basically the idea I'm trying to get across is do people think god judges someone because of their mindset, or because of their actions. Someone can easily sin and sin again, while believing in Jesus and repenting every single time. While someone cannot believe but never sin to such a degree.

This idea that I explained basically stemmed from that old question: "Where do atheists get their morality from?" and I've heard multiple people exclaim that since we don't have a divine morality, we don't value life and think anything goes. Specifically a woman asked me "Why aren't you just going around killing people and stealing? Obviously there aren't any repercussions" and that got me thinking...

If all you have to do to get into heaven is accept Jesus, then doesn't that make a theist more inclined to do whatever they please? I'm not saying they do, or they will, just implying that their morality is supposedly objective and the only stipulation is to accept Jesus. Otherwise, they are expected to sin, so why not kill,steal, and do whatever they please?

Just seems like both sides have equally valid (to a degree, to imply someone is predisposed to do bad things simply because of the origin of their morality is ludicrous.) reasoning's as to why the other would commit atrocities.

according to that logic, only us agnostics have any reason not to do bad stuff. Atheists can because they don't think there are any repercussions, Christians can because they "repent" for it.
If you have no idea if there's a God out there or not, you don't want to risk pissing him off any more than you already do.

"Agnostic's" are atheists, they are just ones that don't claim absolute knowledge and will change their mind when new evidence is found, but that person is an atheist belief wise, and an agnostic knowledge wise, since the two terms apply to 2 completely different sets of distinction.
Basically this: If you don't fully believe in a god, and know he exists, then you are an atheist because the theists have not proven their claim to you.

Agnostic/Gnostic are terms of knowledge.

You can be either a: Agnostic Theist/Agnostic Atheist or Gnostic Theist/Gnostic Atheist. Just by the way people use "I'm agnostic" they usually mean Agnostic Atheist because they are saying they don't know if god exists, which means they have not been proven his existence by theists and therefor: They are atheists.

That makes you an atheist, and yes you do dis-believe because again of "I don't believe". This really isn't that hard. You don't "decide" which one you are, if you believe you are an agnostic/gnostic theist and if you don't believe then you are an agnostic/gnostic atheist.

Seriously, why must people be so dense as to equivocate atheism to something absolute, an agnostic atheist says "I do not believe in god with the evidence presented in front of me, BUT my mind can change when new evidence is presented." But what if they just accept Jesus christ, they continue to commit these sins but being humans they can't help it and if they believe in Jesus then they are forgiven no?

What if they full-heartedly believe in Jesus but still murder because they want to?

If they truly give their life to Jesus, they are forgiven for all of their sins, even ones they haven't committed yet.

But then has someone truly accepted a savior, if they directly go against the laws that savior has set?

The point of accepting Jesus is that God knew we would never stop sinning. So it is expected that we're going to continue sinning.

If the supposed holy book opposes it then how could one be a follower of said faith and directly contradict the orders of their holy book?

Again this isn't discussing the idea of whether or not Jesus "sacrifice" is valid or not.

It is implying the idea that is someone truly a believer if they continue to commit the acts upon which the book they base their belief is condemning. But then again the bible can be interpreted any way you want really, so I guess a murderer/rapist/etc etc could accept Jesus full-heatedly without causing a contradiction.

This isn't really an argument just a discussion point since the idea of this is purely subjective.

i fully believe that someone who is gay doesn't have a choice the matter...that's how they are born.
that being said accepting Jesus into your life doesn't automatically get you into heaven. Its about who you are on the inside. the serial killer and the rapist don't get in because nothing forced them to rape or kill, they did it on their own impulse which makes them bad at heart in the eyes of God. the gay guy, on the other hand, as long as he was right of heart is accepted because again he was born gay and didn't really have a choice.
